FELSENTHAL BREAM FISHING TOURNAMENT
Tournament Rules
- RULES: Interpretation of these rules will be left exclusively to the tournament board members.
- ELIGIBILTY: A team is all persons registered in a boat. An ADULT MUST register and accompany participants who are sixteen and under.
- REGISTRATION: The entry fee is $35.00 per boat (max 4 people) and is non- refundable.
- Pre-register by filling out the form on this page and paying online.
- Day of Tournament Registration Fee is $40.00 NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Each team must check in or register at the US Corps of Engineers Upper Ramp between 5:00 a.m.- 6:00 a.m on May 25, 2024.
- SPORTSMANSHIP: Competitors are expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, boating safety, and conversation. Any behavior by a competitor or spectator that deviates from these standards will not be tolerated.
- TACKLE & EQUIPMENT: Live bait and artificial lures may be used. All fish must be registered tournament competitors with a rod and reel or a pole and line in a sporting manner.
- ELGIBLE FISH: Only species of bream are eligible. (No Goggle Eye or War Mouth will be counted.)
- LEGAL FISHING WATER: Legal fishing water will be the waters of the Ouachita River and any waters accessible by boat from Ouachita River including below the docks.
- SCORING: Winner will be determined by the pound and ounces of each boat’s catch. Each boat will be allowed the weigh 20 bream. Boats with youth (12 and under) will be allowed to weigh the Big Bream first. The other 19 will be added for the total weight for that registered boat. In the event of a tie, the prize will be split evenly between the two competitors.
- WEIGH-IN: All fisherman must be in line and signed in by 12:00 Noon NO EXCEPTIONS.
- LATE PENALTY: Competitors who have not checked in at the official check point by the appointed time (12:00 Noon) will be disqualified from scoring. After proper recognition at the check point, competitors will immediately proceed to the weigh in site. All fishing will cease upon check-in, NO EXCEPTIONS!
- PROTEST: Any protest must be registered with tournament officials within one hour after the last weigh-in. Any protest is subject to a polygraph test. Refusal to participate in the polygraph test will be an automatic elimination from the tournament.
- LIABLILITY: Neither the Felsenthal Bream Festival, Union County, Corps of Engineers or the benefactors will be responsible for accidents, illness, thefts or other perils occurring before, during, or after the event.
- POSTPONMENT: Tournament officials reserve the right to postpone the tournament due to inclement weather or emergency.
- THE VIOLATION OF ANY RULE(S) WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATIONS.
- COMPETITORS MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN RANDOM DRAWINGS OF PRIZES. ALL PRIZES MUST BE CLAIMED BY THE WINNER.
- PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED ONE-HOUR AFTER WEIGH-IN IS COMPLETE, PROVIDED THERE ARE NO PROTESTS.
- NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED.
- ALL LAWS OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS AND THE ARKANSAS GAME AND FISH COMMISSION WILL APPLY.
